4 Corners Ranch Is a Christ-following family farm, providing a quality beef alternative & educating the consumer about different beef options. We chose the Longhorn for beef because of its’ naturally lean quality, which yields a higher finished weight. Longhorns are also naturally disease resistant, eat a variety of plant life and calve easier than commercial breeds, with little to no human intervention required. Our beef is solely grass & hay fed, catering to the health-conscious and clients with grain/gluten allergies. Simply put, there is nothing in our beef that God did not intend! We do not just sell beef....we feed families! We take this responsibility very seriously and share our farm/home with all who have the desire to learn more.
KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! Our beef is SOLELY grass and hay fed. Many beef producers raise on grass, but finish with grain. We do not. There are many significant differences between our beef and others:
Grass-fed Longhorn beef is naturally 95% lean, yielding a higher net cooked weight.
Grass-fed Longhorn beef is higher in CLA, a cancer fighting agent that is not produced in the human body.
Our beef is naturally higher in Vitamin E (3x higher than grain-fed beef), Beta-Carotene, Vitamin B6, B3 & B12, Vitamin K, Selenium, Iron, Choline, Lycopene, the list is on-going!
Grain-fed & finished beef is higher in Omega 6, which causes inflammation in the joints and contributes to cardiovascular disease. Our grass-fed beef is higher in Omega 3, which combats inflammation, and helps promote better heart, vascular & joint health, as well as aiding in fighting obesity.
The broth from our grass-fed beef bones is promoted for it's healing affect on the human digestive system, arthritic conditions and overall skin and hair health. Canine nutritionists also seek out our bones for their pets' better nutrition.
Grain-fed beef has a much higher risk of containing E. Coli. Our animals are independently processed and are not "cross-ground" (combined with others).
Our grass-fed beef will have a yellow tint in the fat, which is the beta-carotene the cattle get from the grass they eat. A white, pasty fat in beef is the "give-away" that the beef is finished with grain.
Our beef has a rich, dark color with little to no marbling. Marbling is fat content. Our beef does not rate on the USDA chart because of it's incredibly lean quality, which makes it an exotic beef product.

We are honored to be affiliated with Unhealthy Anonymous and their simple approach to healthier living. We invite you to join us in the quest for better health. Our Longhorn beef is recognized by Dr. Pete for it's naturally lean qualities and it's higher vitamin & essential mineral content. His associates have invited us to use their office location for a Drop Spot in West Knoxville beginning May 2016. New in 2016... GRASS-FED, GRASS-FINISHED LAMB! We are raising and processing on an annual basis our own Soay flock of naturally lean sheep. These will yield a much smaller amount than traditional breeds, but the flavor is worth it! We also have a working relationship with local farmers to provide meat & stewing chickens, farm-raised rabbit & 'clean' pork.
